Electrical Machine Lab

The objective of the Electric Machine Laboratory is to impart knowledge about characteristics and behavior of the DC and AC Machines, operation of D.C. machines, transformers, synchronous and asynchronous machines and give them experimental skill, familiarize with the constructional details of different types, working principle and their performance. This lab consists of machines such as DC machine, induction motor, induction generator, alternators, synchronous motors etc., all mounted in industrial type of assembly to give the students industrial feel.Well established with all kinds of motors, generators and latest drives, this is the core lab for the Electrical Engineering branch.

Basic Electronics And Microprocessor Lab

The objective of Electric Circuits laboratory is to impart hands on experience in verification of circuit laws and theorems, measurement of circuit parameters, study of circuit characteristics and simulation of time response. It also gives practical exposure to the usage of CRO, power sources, function generator etc. This lab entrusts the student to study the characteristics, applications of electronic devices, such as p-n junction diode, Bipolar transistor, Field Effect transistor, LED, LCD & other photo electronic devices and Power control/regulator devices. This lab offers demanding practical revelation to the students in the field of microprocessor and industrial control through microprocessors. This lab equipped with 8085, 8086 processor and its interfacing peripherals, CROs, multimeters etc. to facilitate the experimentation as per curriculum as well as for aiding the project work and enhance their knowledge about the latest trends and technologies.

Basic Electrical And Instrumentation Lab

The aim of the Measurements Laboratory is to reinforce the students with an adequate work experience in the measurement of different quantities and also the expertise in handling the instruments involved. It also helps to train the students in the measurement of displacement, resistance, inductance, torque and angle etc., and to give exposure to AC, DC bridges and transient measurement.

Power System And Circuits

In the Electrical Circuit Lab students can create their own electrical circuits and do measurements on it. In the circuits the students can use resistors, light bulbs, switches, capacitors and coils. The circuits can be powered by a AC/DC power supply or batteries. There is an ammeter, voltmeter, wattmeter and an ohmmeter. There is also a version of the Electrical Circuit Lab in which data can be collected. Students can analyze the collected data by creating graphs of the data and use the graphs in the conclusion tool.Process techniques for electricity and heat generation; Measurement and arrangement of energy balances and characteristic curves; Technical criteria for energetic assessment of process control; steam turbine process, lamp measurement, combined heat and power, fuel cell.

Won Second Prize in GTU Project Fair


Our college has always taken unique initiative for the betterment of students. As per the GTU curriculum final year students have to do their projects under the title of IDP/UDP. Students work on different challenges faced by industries or society, they try to solve that challenges as a part of their project work.

With the blessings and vision of Mr. Bhupesh Bhatia, support and encouragement of Vice Principal Mr.Gaurav Mehta and All Head of Department we, at Mahavir Swami College had organized a project fair on 31st march, 2017. The project fair has provided platform for the students to display the innovative projects.

We have arranged a project fair of the final year students, as a Part of GTU innovation council program. In which total   24    groups of the students had participated actively and shown their innovative ideas by working model. Project fair gives platform for the students to show their skills so that they can get inspiration and also positive interacts from Indusial expert, internal faculties, HODs and Principal. Student explained their project to their juniors. Total 220 students visited event. Industry Expert visited the fair and devotes their valuable time. Participants give their best to explain their project among all experts.
